Río Azul Sanitary Landfill Technical Closure

The Sanitary Landfill technical closure consists on building works and services for the mitigation of undesirable effects in the public health and the atmosphere in Río Azul. Justification Health Ministry as the property owner (Río Azul Sanitary Landfill), is responsible for avoiding the undesirable effects in the public health and the atmosphere, reason for which WPP, the most experienced company in the country in the solid waste management and reconversion of dumps , was hired for the Technic Closure works. Objective Closure Technic works in Rio Azul Sanitary Landfill have the purpose of avoiding slips, floods, vectors propagation, bad odours, damages, subtraction of public goods, or unauthorized people presence. Important works 1. Technical studies and design. 2. Pluvial evacuation system. 3. Leachate conduction and collection system. 4. Leachate Treatment system (Treatment Plant). 5. Solid waste confinement, according to the settled down in the Sanitary Landfills Regulation. 6. Underground waters Quality Control. 7. Administrative infrastructure and Security.
