History

WPP Continental de Costa Rica, S.A. was born from the relationship between its company predecessor WPP, Inc, domiciled in Dayton, Ohio and two Costa Rican professionals who have participated in the project from its beginning.

The company began the first proposals techniques for the solid waste management in Costa Rica in 1992.

WPP Continental de Costa Rica, S.A. (WPP), a Costa Rican incorporated company, was founded in 1994 to provide solid waste collection and disposal services in Costa Rica, it was acquired by Continental Waste Industries Inc, New Jersey, in 1997 by Republic Industries Inc, Florida. During these changes both Costa Rican partners maintained their relationship and the management of WPP.

Starting from December 8, 2000, the negotiation was completed. Republic Industries passed over all its actions to the Costa Rican partners and a group of North American investor from Denver, Colorado.
