El Progreso Waste Disposal Site- La Pita
This project has
three phases
as follows:
a. The firt phase is the daily operation of the current disposal site, by means of an improved operation. (Mitigation and Improved Operation). The purpose of this phase is to revert the pollution conditions, waste mass movement (slips) and the elimination of the sources that affect the surrounding communities’ health.
b. The second phase is the improved operation, and our purpose is continuing with the improvement of the site environmental conditions, without stopping the appropriate waste disposal service.
c. The final phase is the technical closure of the site and transfer the operations to a new disposal site with all the technical and engineering conditions of a sanitary landfill.
